# API Usage

> Monitor your organization's ChainPatrol API traffic from the dashboard, with request counts broken down by endpoint, status code, and API key.

The **API Usage** page in the ChainPatrol dashboard shows how your integration
uses the External API. Open it from the **Developer** section of your
organization's admin navigation, next to **API Keys**, at
`https://app.chainpatrol.io/admin/<your-org-slug>/api-usage`.

Use it to verify that a new integration is sending traffic, spot error spikes,
and confirm which API keys are still in use before rotating or revoking them.

## Who can see it

Only organization **owners** and **admins** can view the API Usage page.
Members of your organization with other roles cannot access it.

## What it shows

ChainPatrol records every request authenticated with one of your organization's
API keys and rolls the data up hourly. The page summarizes that data for a time
range you pick: last 90 days, 30 days, 7 days, 24 hours, or 3 hours. The
selected range is stored in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a
specific view.

### Totals

Three counters show the total, successful, and errored request counts for the
selected range. Requests with a `2xx` status code count as successful; all
other status codes count as errors.

### By endpoint

A table lists each endpoint your integration called, with its HTTP method and
total, successful, and errored request counts. Paths are templated, so requests
to `/organization/asset-groups/123` appear as
`/organization/asset-groups/{groupId}`.

Click a row to expand it and see the exact response status codes behind the
counts, for example how many calls returned `200` versus `429` or `500`.

### By API key

A second table breaks down the same traffic by API key, showing each key's
name, prefix, environment (live or test), and request counts. Revoked keys are
labelled **REVOKED** rather than hidden, so historical traffic from a key you
have since revoked remains visible.
